Welcome to Doing It For Daniel

August 16, 2021

Welcome to the Doing it for Daniel Foundation.

Doing It For Daniel charity was formed on the 15th July 2021 in memory of Daniel Caplan. Daniel was a 16-year-old boy who was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour called DMG/DIPG (Diffuse Midline Glioma). This is a terminal brainstem tumour mostly affecting children. After Daniel passed late last year, we decided to help families who were in a similar position to us and aim to raise money and awareness for brain tumour research, particularly focusing on DIPG.

We provide financial assistance for children and young people with a cancer diagnosis at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre by funding special gifts, experiences, days out and holidays. We treat each application individually and support children in whatever way we can.

Although we are based in Scotland, we will consider application from any child in the UK with a cancer diagnosis.
